INTENSIVE WEEK – WHEEL THROWING on a potters wheel  

This education offer is suitable for anyone who wants to seriously learn the craft of pottery on the wheel and get to know the different working steps with the aim of making their own pottery.  

Take the time to create your own bowls, plates, cups, lidded jars, or vases.  

This education is designated to teach you first by demonstrating and then by assisting you on the wheel with each step:  

Skills taught for working on the potter's wheel:  

-Centering clay on the potter's wheel (optional, clay can be centred by your  teacher if you find it difficult at first)  

-Opening clay on the potter's wheel  

-Pulling and shaping walls for bowls, cylindrical forms, and rounded walls 

-Trimming on the potter's wheel your previously thrown work 

Finishing techniques: (2nd session) There will be a choice, depending on your wheel-thrown work, either:  

-Decorating – 2 decorating techniques are going to be demonstrated and explained.  

-Finishing the lid – adding a knob to the lid  

-Pulling and attaching a handle to your work  

What to wear for the workshop: Even though we provide you with an apron and a towel, we recommend you wear clothes that can get dirty – this class is hands-on.   

The Workshop is paid in advance with additional Mwst. of 7.7

Cancellation:  

The booking of the courses is binding! If you have to cancel a booking, this must be done at least 48  hours before the start of the booked course. You will be charged the regular course price per cancelled person.
