Open Wheel Rental Sessions

OPEN WHEEL RENTAL SESSIONS

You already know how to make pottery and use a wheel? You can rent our turntables in our wonderful ceramics studio in Furi, for some DIY-DO IT YOURSELF time!

DETAILS:
One session (2.5h) for 75CHF:
Available to people who have wheel-throwing skills and are completely self-sufficient on the wheel. There is no supervision or guidance from the ceramist - you only hire the time on the wheel. Each session includes the use of up to 1.5kg of stoneware clay, the use of tools, up to 2 hours and 20 minutes on the wheel and 10 minutes of active clean up. We fire your viable pieces in about 3-10 days. You can come back within 30 days to glaze your pieces so we can do the final glaze firing and they will be ready for collection 2 weeks later.

Residents of Zermatt receive a 10% discount on the offer.

PAYMENT AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
Only the first session is ever paid for in advance with additional Mwst. of 7.7%, even if further sessions are booked. You will receive an invoice after contacting our ceramist. After your last session with us, you will receive a second invoice with the balance and any additional costs. Additional costs occur in the following cases:

- If you want to have more clay fired than is included in the workshop per person. For each additional lump of clay of 250g we will charge you 22.5CHF plus Mwst. of 7.7%.

 - If you do not glaze your pottery yourself and this is done by our ceramicist. You will be charged an additional 10CHF with additional Mwst. of 7.7% for each piece.

 - If we have to send your finished ceramics by post. After your last visit to our ceramic studio in Furi, the pieces will be ready for personal collection after two weeks. If this is not possible, we will send the pieces by post with the additional insurance "FRAGILE". So, you will be charged the shipping costs of 15CHF-30CH. This depends on the weight of the created pieces. Whether shipping is possible depends on the condition of the ceramics, which is assessed by our ceramist. Furthermore, Zermatt Ceramics does not accept any liability for possible delivery of damaged goods by the post office, despite additional insurance "FRAGILE".

- Exclusively for residents of Zermatt, we offer personal home delivery if you are unable to collect your ceramics from the studio. For this we charge you an additional 25CHF for delivery.
